Last Night I Joined the Chandler Art Guild!!!

I'm so excited to be apart of this group. It takes me back to college, just being in the mix of the art world is so exciting!!! I will be participating in my first ArtWalk ever!!! on Wednesday October 3rd. I can't wait!! And it is in my own backyard!

I just love all media, but I will only show my jewelry work. There are two paintings I gave to my parents that I did when I was in college, guess where they are hanging...the Garage Walls!!! I think it is so funny. It is the first thing my parents see when they pull in. My dad found a great place to hang them. LOL!!!

I think I used some great techniques in them, but they are only worthy of the garage!!!

Better get going...It is so beautiful outside, I want to take advantage of it!

Our New Look For Home Shows/Private Parties & Events

Here are a few pictures I took of the new table set up - I just love it! I'm so excited for the Holiday Season I can't wait to really get into it. I have a ton of new gemstones and findings- so of course I am going to stay up late and work on some new pieces. And I'm thinking I just might save them for the shows instead of the website. How exciting!!!

It's Been Awhile...

Well, I am so tired right now...I have had a pretty busy week. My son started his class this week. I just love watching him learn, my daughter started clapping for everyone, and we are on our last phase of our home remodel!!! Oh, and am going out of town this weekend with my mom and bringing the kids with me to visit Portland, Oregon for a few family celebrations!! Can't wait, but I hear the weather is still hot!

Website All Fixed...

Thanks to Jake and Denise at Posh Daisy, my website is up and running again. Not that it was ever down, more like I couldn't get access to my admin login page, which means I wasn't able to update my site! Total bummer! But, now I'm really excited about getting things rolling with all my changes that need to be completed. Oh, probable another week or so.

We started a remodel on our house, so the kids and I are staying at my parent's house for the week. Makes it a bit difficult to get to my files. But, it is giving me time to finish up my fall line and do some scrapbooking. I love looking over scrapbook forums!!

I have finished 4 so far...would like to complete 8 different styles. Still not sure if I want to do the savvy mommies show in September. It's been a long couple of weeks...

Here is my new avatar for http://www.etsy.com/, an artist community where you can find, sell, and buy items made by artists. Stop by and check it out, you never know what you might find!

Why is it that when you return from a week long vacation it takes you two weeks to get back into the swing of things? I feel like I have so much to do and catch up on!

I'm trying to teach myself new things; Adobe Photo shop- I thought it might be a good program to learn to use in scrap booking and enhancing my jewelry pictures for my web page. I can see now it will be awhile until I am completely comfortable with it. I bought some digital picture frames off a website called http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/, a very cute site and they have some great items. I think I should have read up on the whole down load thing first before purchasing the frames. They look really cool but yet I'm still not quite sure how to use them.

Still really hot down here, but the crazy thing is, I actually feel like I am getting use to it. I can tell the rest of the family is getting a little stir crazy! Haven't quite figured out what I am planning on doing tomorrow, but tonight I need to finish adding some new products to my website and make a bracelet for a fundraiser coming up in September. I will have more details on the event as they come available. It will be for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation who are partnering up with Shefinds.com for the month of September to raise money. Part of the purchase of my bracelet will be donated. I need to sit down tonight and design the bracelet.

I was doing some crazy all night scrap booking the other night. I had so much fun...I think my husband thinks I'm crazy. But, I honestly thinking I am developing an actual style to my pages. I feel bad I still need to start some pages for my daughters baby book. I should sit down and jot some notes down while they are still fresh in my memory!
