Super Bowl in Town

Well the big game is today! You know over the years my husband and I have hosted big Super Bowl Parties, but this year we are heading over to my parent's house to enjoy the game with them. They have a pretty good size tv for us to watch it on also! It's funny because all around town they have been talking about all the different entertainment and celebraties in town. It all just makes me want to stay home and watch the game from my couch- Oh, who am I kidding!!! I'm just going to work on my jewelry and scrapbook stuff, while my parents enjoy their grandkids, and my husband and dad will watch the game. I might stop by every once in while on my way to the kitchen, and see who is ahead, but I don't know anything about football! I love going to college games but I have never been into the NFL!

So, I have been working on my Hall of Fame entry for Creating Keepsakes. I really want to have my entry completed and ready to ship out on Monday. I still have a bit to do. Pretty much putting the entry together according to their guidelines. I'm pretty sure I won't win, so even today I almost backed out. But, at the last minute I decided to take a few pictures of my layouts and see if I can get them ready for print for tomorrow. Well, I got all the editing parts completed. Now I will print them out tomorrow and I will write out my supplies list - but first I will need to double check my work so I haven't missed anything. It is really important that everything is check a few times to catch any errors. As soon as I find out I haven't won, I will post the pages, book and item I did for the entry so keep checking back!

They will be annoucing the 10 winners in March or April.

Wish me luck!
Have a great evening!

Make Over Show

So, I was going through the paper from today or maybe it was yesterday, anyways I like to read the local paper and the 'Yes' section in the Friday paper, I like to think it keeps me up on the happenings around town. Well I came across this article that was announcing a Make Over Contest, where they are picking 2 women from the valley to receive complete make overs worth close to $30,000!!! OK- so I continued to read, and it says you have to be at least 28 years of age and need to lose 10-25 pounds plus. And be very motivated. They would track my progress over 13 weeks or 3 months. So, I thought, I'M IN!!! I would love a total make over, and since I am having a tough time loosing my baby weight from my 15 month old! I thought this would be great! So, I have decided to enter this contest- I will be there with countless other women who feel they are in need for a total make over! I'm motivated- my husband and I joined our local gym the day after Christmas and we have been going 2-3-4 days a week! Here are a few links if you live in the area and would be interested in dedicating 3 months to a total make over- they do say it is not for an extreme make over- you will need to read through everything to get all the details. http://www.arizonaspagirls.com/ and http://www.thebeautyshow.com/
Maybe I'll see you in line!
Good luck to you!

Change...

I know you should enjoy change...but if you are like me and you are unsure of the unknown, sometimes it can be scary! One of my good friends is moving away tomorrow. I am so bummed, happy for her- but we have become good friends over the last two years, you can't help but be bummed. I think I am craving some familiar ground right now. And I think the best way around this feeling is to be creative. Tonight we had a design team meeting and then we could scrapbook into the night. Well, as you can see I am still up, I had a bit too many cokes. So, my battery is about to run out on my laptop. I just thought I could get one last thing completed before I head up. Doing something creative really helps get your feelings out...I love to make jewelry and listen to music. So, tonight not only did I scrapbook at the store, I came home and worked on my website and listened to music. I really enjoy hangin' out with the design team. The ladies are a lot of fun and filled with so much knowledge!!! I had a great time tonight.
Better go down to the last mins.

Spring/Summer 2008 Jewelry Collection

I've been pretty busy cleaning up my jewelry stock and getting ready for the new Spring/Summer 2008 Collection that is right around the corner from making its debut! These are just a few of the pieces. I'm very excited about the new line - I'm still working on pieces to add. I've also been working on adding new show dates to the 2008 year schedule. Check out the events page to stay updated.
If you haven't yet, this past week I added a new "featured bride". I love how here jewelry turned out. We really worked on customizing her pieces.
While designing and creating my new collection, I have found many things to stir up inspiration. It's amazing where it comes from...for me it will could be a color combination from a home decor magazine or just the thought of going on vacation can inspire a whole line. I love to go shopping for new beads- as soon as I get home I can't wait to dig in and start designing new pieces. I will be posting the new line on March 1st, and I will have my first show with the new line on February 15th.
I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Vintage Brooch entering it's next Life...

I had to share these photos with you...a friend of me gave me this brooch she received from her grandmother. She wanted me to make something out of it. So, one day I came across this picture of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's where she is wearing a gorgeous 5 strand pearl necklace with a pendant/brooch. I immediately contacted my friend to see if she would be interested in the same style. So, this is what we came up with. I just love it! I hope she has some where special to wear it! Never under estimate vintage pieces of jewelry. You never know what their second or third life may become! Enjoy!

A Little Overwhelmed with Paperwork!

I just hate this time of year when I have to go through all my files and pull out last years stuff, and get it ready for TAX time! I am just crossing my fingers I actually kept everything in order. I'm suppose to be going through some of the papers right now, and instead I decided to write about them. The house is quiet and it's a great time for me to get somethings completed.

I feel so bad, the other day I was so proud of myself, I was copying off schedules for our gym, the library and my son's school schedule. Well, I talked up a fitness class for my son to go to this morning and I thought it said 10:30 am but really its at 9 am. So, then I had to explain to him that I goofed and that we are actually going to the grocery store. Nice mom I am! So, tomorrow I owe him an outing. Hopefully it doesn't rain. That would be my luck!

I just put in my first bead order of the year! Very exciting clasps coming! I spent sometime this morning looking over beads, trying to visualize my Spring/Summer 2008 Collection. I should have a preview of the new collection on February 15th at a show I am doing. The whole collection will be available to the public by March 1st!

OK, so I have held off long enough. I need to hit the pile of paper work in front of me. But, knowing myself I'll start browsing the internet instead!

Have a great evening. Thank you for stopping by.

Back on Track...

OK, I've decided to get this going again...I don't seem to be very good at blogging. November and December seem to be a pretty busy time for me. I do want to thank everyone who stopped by my booth at the shows we attended during the holiday season. It was great meeting and talking to the many great customers I was able to work with face to face.
I'm currently working on my 2008 show schedule. Last year I didn't do a lot of shows, but this year, I'm hoping to get involved in a few more around town.

Many of you know I love to scrapbook, and there is a new contest with Creating Keepsakes Magazine- Hall of Fame. I've been picking up new paper and embellishments lately, so I will make some new pages, and when I feel like I have enough to choose from I will make my decision, whether or not I will enter. I just love all the new 'stuff'' I've picked up, now all I need is new ink for my printer! I also received from my husband a new camera for my birthday! So, now I have no excuse but to snap away at my ever growing children!

I hope everyone had a great holiday season! My husband took some vacation days so we had a great time visiting with family and chillin' out around the house. We did so much remodeling this past summer, that it's nice to just sit back and enjoy our house. Maybe next summer we can remodel the upstairs!

Well for the next couple of weeks I will be working on a spring/summer 2008 line! I've been finding some great stones and pearls and I can't wait to get started!

If you haven't picked up the latest Bead Trends magazine Jan/Feb 2008 issue- I have 6 pieces in there!!! Again, it is so exciting to see my creations in print! Wow! Very cool! I will be submitting some new pieces for the May/June issue. Wish me Luck!

I'll right, it feels good to be writing again!
Wishing everyone a Safe, Happy and Healthy New Years Eve 2008!!!

Our First Art Walk was a Great Success!!!

WOW!! What a great time! It was great to meet so many customers and see such a wide variety of artists! I was across from t'z Market Place- and there was great wine being poured and great music being played! Looking forward to next months Art walk on November 7th! Hope to see you there. Stop by my table to see what's new and just say HI! About half my inventory is new for fall and I have some great markdowns I've done for the shows and events!

Be sure to check out the events page to see were we will be next. There are some great events we've signed up for located all over the city!

I just wanted to thank my dad for taking to and from the Art Walk, and helping me set up! And thank my husband for taking care of the kids- even venturing out to take Bryson to soccer! Without the support and love of my family - my business would not be possible!

Getting really excited about Arbonne! I will be putting in my samples order and Holiday inventory order today!!! I just love all the lotions and salt scrubs they have to offer! I'm not sure if I've mentioned the skin care line- But I love it!!! Last night someone looked really surprised when I told them I had been creating jewelry for 17 years!! Now that says something about this skin care line! I haven't had compliments on my age for a few years! I feel like the RE9 line really works- I've been watching my wrinkles disappear!!! I just love it!

If you can book a home show we can do foot scrubs for your girlfriends, make jewelry, and just shop for jewelry and lotions!

Have a great day! -Trisha
