In July we are heading out to San Diego for a vacation and a 90Th birthday party for my husband's grandmother- Nani. I bought a dress by Chaiken seen in the picture, but up until last night I was trying to figure out what shoes to wear. I mean, it's not like I am going to be able to leave the kids at home for the party. So, I heels are out of the question! I was looking at a lot of flat styles, and I didn't want to be too plain or casual. Last night my mom called from the mall, asked if I wanted to meet her there. So, I packed up my daughter and we headed over to the mall to do some damage! It was just us girls- and wouldn't you know it, we never left Nordstrom! I bought 3 pairs of shoes including the ones in the picture. And some clothes. For my daughter, we bought her a new pair of pink sandals, not that she needed another pair of pink sandals, but these ones will be better for her feet and they have hearts on them! So, to go with all that sassiness on the feet, we had to get her some matching heart shaped sunglasses! She was just Miss Hollywood! It was funny, my niece was over at my parent's house this weekend, and she had on her heart sunglasses and painted toe nails- she'll be 2 in July! So CUTE! I don't think my daughter would sit still long enough to get her toenails painted let alone drying time!
So, now back to my outfit! Not only am I excited about wearing the ensemble, but I have been loosing weight finally so I can fit right into it! Now all my clothes that I have bought over the past couple of months have been feeling quite loose! I just have 14 more pounds to go. My hips and stomach finally decided to let some go! It's so hard after having kids, you have to wait around for your body to finally say, 'Hey, I'll throw you a bone!'.
