Back on Track...

OK, I've decided to get this going again...I don't seem to be very good at blogging. November and December seem to be a pretty busy time for me. I do want to thank everyone who stopped by my booth at the shows we attended during the holiday season. It was great meeting and talking to the many great customers I was able to work with face to face.
I'm currently working on my 2008 show schedule. Last year I didn't do a lot of shows, but this year, I'm hoping to get involved in a few more around town.

Many of you know I love to scrapbook, and there is a new contest with Creating Keepsakes Magazine- Hall of Fame. I've been picking up new paper and embellishments lately, so I will make some new pages, and when I feel like I have enough to choose from I will make my decision, whether or not I will enter. I just love all the new 'stuff'' I've picked up, now all I need is new ink for my printer! I also received from my husband a new camera for my birthday! So, now I have no excuse but to snap away at my ever growing children!

I hope everyone had a great holiday season! My husband took some vacation days so we had a great time visiting with family and chillin' out around the house. We did so much remodeling this past summer, that it's nice to just sit back and enjoy our house. Maybe next summer we can remodel the upstairs!

Well for the next couple of weeks I will be working on a spring/summer 2008 line! I've been finding some great stones and pearls and I can't wait to get started!

If you haven't picked up the latest Bead Trends magazine Jan/Feb 2008 issue- I have 6 pieces in there!!! Again, it is so exciting to see my creations in print! Wow! Very cool! I will be submitting some new pieces for the May/June issue. Wish me Luck!

All right we are so excited!!! We have a date set for our 'open to the public' Blingin' for the Cure. It will be on Friday, Oct 26th, 2007 from 5pm-8pm. Our First Art Walk was a Great Success!!!

WOW!! What a great time! It was great to meet so many customers and see such a wide variety of artists! I was across from t'z Market Place- and there was great wine being poured and great music being played! Looking forward to next months Art walk on November 7th! Hope to see you there. Getting really excited about Arbonne! I will be putting in my samples order and Holiday inventory order today!!! I just love all the lotions and salt scrubs they have to offer! I'm not sure if I've mentioned the skin care line- But I love it!!! Last night someone looked really surprised when I told them I had been creating jewelry for 17 years!! Now that says something about this skin care line! I haven't had compliments on my age for a few years! I feel like the RE9 line really works- I've been watching my wrinkles disappear!!! I just love it!

Last Night I Joined the Chandler Art Guild!!!

I'm so excited to be apart of this group. It takes me back to college, just being in the mix of the art world is so exciting!!! I will be participating in my first ArtWalk ever!!! on Wednesday October 3rd. I can't wait!! And it is in my own backyard!

I just love all media, but I will only show my jewelry work. There are two paintings I gave to my parents that I did when I was in college, guess where they are hanging...the Garage Walls!!! I think it is so funny. It is the first thing my parents see when they pull in. My dad found a great place to hang them. LOL!!!

I think I used some great techniques in them, but they are only worthy of the garage!!!

Better get going...It is so beautiful outside, I want to take advantage of it!

Our New Look For Home Shows/Private Parties & Events

Here are a few pictures I took of the new table set up - I just love it! I'm so excited for the Holiday Season I can't wait to really get into it. I have a ton of new gemstones and findings- so of course I am going to stay up late and work on some new pieces. And I'm thinking I just might save them for the shows instead of the website. It's Been Awhile...

Well, I am so tired right now...I have had a pretty busy week. My son started his class this week. I just love watching him learn, my daughter started clapping for everyone, and we are on our last phase of our home remodel!!! Oh, and am going out of town this weekend with my mom and bringing the kids with me to visit Portland, Oregon for a few family celebrations!! Can't wait, but I hear the weather is still hot!

Website All Fixed...

Thanks to Jake and Denise at Posh Daisy, my website is up and running again. Not that it was ever down, more like I couldn't get access to my admin login page, which means I wasn't able to update my site! Total bummer! But, now I'm really excited about getting things rolling with all my changes that need to be completed. Oh, probable another week or so.

We started a remodel on our house, so the kids and I are staying at my parent's house for the week. Makes it a bit difficult to get to my files. But, it is giving me time to finish up my fall line and do some scrapbooking. I love looking over scrapbook forums!!

It's been a long couple of weeks...

Why is it that when you return from a week long vacation it takes you two weeks to get back into the swing of things? I feel like I have so much to do and catch up on!

I'm trying to teach myself new things; Adobe Photo shop- I thought it might be a good program to learn to use in scrap booking and enhancing my jewelry pictures for my web page. I can see now it will be awhile until I am completely comfortable with it. I bought some digital picture frames off a website called http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/, a very cute site and they have some great items. I think I should have read up on the whole down load thing first before purchasing the frames. They look really cool but yet I'm still not quite sure how to use them.

Still really hot down here, but the crazy thing is, I actually feel like I am getting use to it. I can tell the rest of the family is getting a little stir crazy! Haven't quite figured out what I am planning on doing tomorrow, but tonight I need to finish adding some new products to my website and make a bracelet for a fundraiser coming up in September. I will have more details on the event as they come available. It will be for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation who are partnering up with Shefinds.com for the month of September to raise money. Part of the purchase of my bracelet will be donated. I need to sit down tonight and design the bracelet.

I was doing some crazy all night scrap booking the other night. I had so much fun...I think my husband thinks I'm crazy. But, I honestly thinking I am developing an actual style to my pages. I feel bad I still need to start some pages for my daughters baby book. I should sit down and jot some notes down while they are still fresh in my memory!

I was on TV!!!

OK, very exciting news! I was on a local TV show called Sonoran Living Live! It is a very cool show, and I had a great time. I was very nervous, but the hostess Stephanie made me feel right at home. I definitely will not be going into TV for a living, but it was a lot of fun and a great experience.

I'm learning new things all the time...

I am not a computer wizard and I feel like you need a little html background to figure out how to use all these things. Lucky for me there are some very nice people out there who don't mind me asking those 'dumb' questions. I started a top 100 list. I actually figured out how to add pictures with links to them for this blog. I still have a lot to learn. I have so many things I want to add to my website- I just don't want to pay someone every time I want some little thing taken care of.

OK, after that Kudos for myself. Here are a few things happening.

Last night my husband and I had a mini date night. Thanks to my parents. They watched our children so we could sneak away and enjoy a little wine tasting and good music at a local restaurant in downtown Chandler. We visited with some local people and just enjoyed each others company. Amazing how much catching up we were able to do when we did not have two children to talk over and around!

Don't forget Father's Day- my son and I did some fun painting at Mind Over Splatter, a shop in downtown Chandler, where you can paint pottery. We had a lot of fun!

I picked up some new scrapbook supplies on Wednesday and Friday of last week. I am so excited. I got up early this morning to start diggin' in! I can't wait to start putting together my daughter's baby book.

Not quite sure what is going on...

Well, viewing my blog- none of the pictures are coming through. Maybe it's just a today problem. I've been pretty busy with orders and scrapbooking! And it's really nice when you can put the two together. I recently made a picture book for a store to have on their counter for customers to look over when they want to order a mommy or little girl name bracelet. It turned out really neat! I'm hoping to make a few more.
I've been working on adding my mid summer line. Trying to come up with a new design for the Baby Addison Bracelet card. I'm very excited about the new necklaces I will be adding to the line. But that is about all I can tell you for now! I might just show you a sneak peek one of these days!
I have to go hit the gym tonight and yet I would rather stay in and do some scrapbooking. I picked up some new paper at the store today. Of course I was only going for the ribbon. And walked out with paper and embellishments! Ha, Ha!
I decided to change the look of the gift boxes for my jewelry business. I will have chocolate boxes with a chocolate and light blue striped ribbon. I real love the chocolate color! I don't have the pictures posted yet, but stop by next week and check them out.

New 'Featured Bride' Jewelry

Check these pieces out! Isn't this bracelet and earring set just stunning! I wish I had somewhere to go that I would be 'forced' to wear something as elegant as this! Unfortunately, I just don't think t-shirt and jeans would quite cut it with this one!

The page is meant to show examples of how a bride can choose just about any piece from the current collections and we can redesign it to be suitable for their wedding style. Ok- long story- but a great one! I joined the Mompack - A Networking group through Yahoo. I met Myra Roldan, who owns Beautiful Diva in Connecticut. She was looking for moms to put items in a store she was going to be opening up. So, I thought it would be a great idea to put my Name/Mommy/Little Girl Bracelets in her shop.

So, during this time Oprah was doing a call out for the next Big Idea. Well, Myra is one of the finalist! It's called Instant Eye Shadow. Ok, now you are wondering where I play into all this. Well, Myra is going to be wearing a necklace, earring, and bracelet set that I custom designed for her to wear on the show!!! How exciting!! Second Frame to Share

Ok, I finished the second frame! Yeah! Don't ask me about any of the products because I can't remember, lol! So, now we are off to morning classes, library, more coffee, and then maybe I can get my Design Team pages completed today. I have some great pictures from this month. Have a great day!

My First Entry

OK, here I go... I wrote in 'Diaries' when I was young, and 'Journals' when I got older, but with those you never think anyone will ever read them! So, now here I am ready to go, and I draw a blank on what to write. Let's try this...
As for family, we had a pretty rough day, I think my son woke up on the wrong side of the bed. But, we made it through! Tomorrow is a new day and he is finally down to sleep now. My daughter, luckily, was doing great today. And my husband came home with two ear infections. But, he managed to make dinner for all of us! I am sure lucky!
I didn't get a whole lot completed to day with my business or scrap booking. Just one step at a time. I have a list of things to accomplish and I am marking them off one at a time. I still have some work to complete tonight and yet here I am starting up a blog! LOL
